Udbhav Kansal is a builder, organizer, and connector at the heart of Vancouver's tech ecosystem. He leads community-driven initiatives across British Columbia, bridging technical infrastructure, community leadership, and academic research. His focus is on spreading knowledge, educating, and simplifying AI for people through a sharp, first-principles approach.
As captain of Team Canada, Udbhav led the team to its first podium finish in nine years at the Global Ocean Hackathon, and has won nine other hackathons. He's a serial problem solver, working across manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, ocean science, and financial markets.
Udbhav contributes to special research projects at UBC and is a founder of a UBC-venture-funded startup, opening up footwear as a new landscape in merchandising.
He loves to write, read, and rise to a challenge. He grounds everything he does in timeless principles of discipline, purpose, and service, and carries that philosophy into every project, community, and conversation.
