I've spent 30 years helping some of the world's most complex organizations make their knowledge usable. What I've learned is that the gap between good documentation and great documentation is almost always an operations problem, not a writing problem. I am CEO and Co-founder at Precision Content in Toronto, Canada where I've had the privilege of working with many of industry's leading firms including * Cisco Systems Inc (NASDAQ: CSCO) * JP Morgan Bank * Mastercard * Gulfstream * Sun Microsystems (NASDAQ: ORCL) * CAE Ltd (TSE: CAE) * Canadian Tire (TSX: CTC) * Wolters Kluwer (Euronext Amsterdam: WKL) In 2014, I was awarded the rank of Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) and earned the Enterprise Content Management Specialist (ECMs) designation from AIIM. I've earned my certification from Information Mapping International as an Information Mapping® Certified Consultant™ (IMCC) in 2013 and hold a certification from AIIM as a Certified Information Professional (CIP). I am a former member of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee working on the Technical Documentation Subcommittee. I have served as a national director for the STC and as the vice-chairman for the STC Certification Commission.
